No Bank to Break

Feed me! But make it free?

Okay, nothing is free, but at least make it cheap! Navigating the world of healthy food is always a rollercoaster for me. I think that's true for most people though. A lot of us have to unlearn much of what we were taught about eating, all while learning how to make better choices. Couple that with trying not to break the bank you don't have AND being booked & busy, and it can be a recipe for disaster.

This past weekend was very busy for me as a bride (one of the few hats I'm currently wearing) so I didn't have any time to prep for the week. The past 2 days, I've spent $20 on lunch. JUST lunch, per day! I was proud with my choices, but I know $20/day for lunch only is excessive. Home repairs plus a wedding have me counting all the coins right now, hunty! Today I decided to take a stroll on over to Trader Joe's during a work break and pick out some items for the rest of the week. I spent $23.45 total on 5 items that will hold me over at work for the rest of the week.

Someone, somewhere lied about Trader Joe's being expensive at one point and I am glad that I have seen the light. I just got my mom on board too. Now, if they would only put one closer to my neighborhood, I'd be in Heaven.

What are some of your go to grab & go meal options for busy days?
